The meeting was originally scheduled for Sept. 11, 2013 and will now be held in October. Representatives from ASCAI will discuss the proposed changes and address objections to the rules by ASC leaders during the meeting.
Earlier this year, ASCAI commented on proposed rule changes that would require existing and new multispecialty ASCs to obtain a new CON before adding new surgical specialties without requiring hospital outpatient surgical programs to do the same.
