OR Manager collected data from 196 ASC leaders from March 28 to May 31. Respondents were either OR Manager subscribers or part of an external list.

Three findings:

1. The following care models haven’t been adopted by 63 percent of ASC respondents: ACO, joint venture, enhanced recovery after surgery, perioperative surgical homes and dual-license facility. Those respondents also don’t plan to implement those care models.

2. In 2018, 59 percent of respondents hadn’t implemented those models and didn’t plan to do so.

3. Of ASCs that do participate in care models in 2019, 18 percent are involved in some form of joint venture and 16 percent have ERAS protocols.
