Allegheny Health Network, Highmark establish surgical center — 4 key notes

Pittsburgh-based Allegheny Health Network and Highmark, an insurance company, partnered to create a 23,000-square-foot surgical center, Trib Live reports.

Here’s what you should know:

1. The center started accepting patients in June. The center also features an endoscopy center, which will open in September.

2. The center will employ between 20 and 30 physicians within the next few months.

3. In additional to gastroenterology, the center offers neurosurgery, orthopedics, esophageal and lung disease, cardiology and bariatric services.

4. The center will also offer imaging services.
