8 new GI-driven ASCs & facilities — November 2017

Here are eight gastroenterology-focused ASCs or facilities that were newly announced or opened in November.

Note: All these centers offer gastroenterology services.

Buffalo, N.Y.-based Catholic Health received the first required approval to acquire a 40 percent stake in Orchard Park, N.Y.-based Sterling Surgical Center.

McKinney, Texas-based Methodist Craig Ranch Surgery Center opened Nov. 6.

The partnership between two physicians and Eastern Long Island Hospital gained approval from the New York State Department of Health to construct a new surgery center featuring gastroenterology services.

York, Pa.-based WellSpan Health initiated construction on its 80,000-square-foot health center in Penn Township, Pa., Nov. 14.

Tri-State Specialists will break ground on its $37 million Riverview Surgical Center in late November. Both organizations are based in South Sioux City, Neb.

Shenandoah (Iowa) Medical Center is putting the finishing touches on its new outpatient surgery center.

Southlake-based Texas Digestive Disease Consultants opened a new 11,000-square-foot ASC, Lone Star Endoscopy, adjacent to its clinic.

Kernersville (N.C.) Endoscopy Center submitted a certificate-of-need application to shift two endoscopy rooms from its Winston-Salem, N.C.-based Piedmont Endoscopy Center to a proposed ASC in Kernersville.
