1. Don’t expect your M&D company to provide an administrator for your ASC and cover his or her salary. Half of the respondents never do this, and only six percent always do so. The remaining respondents were split between rarely and sometimes
2. You can expect access to a GPO. Eighty-two percent of respondents offer this service.
3. You can also expect your M&D company to provide a managed care contracting service. Seventy-seven percent of respondents do so.
4. An almost equal amount (78 percent) provide an accounting service.
5. Whether you can receive a legal service from your M&D company is very dependent on the company. While 41 percent of respondents always offer this service, 29 percent never do and 12 percent rarely do.
6. You’re more likely to receive architecture and design services. Thirty-nine percent always offer this service and 33 percent sometimes do. Twenty-two percent never offer it.
7. Your M&D company will most likely provide a service for benchmarking based on other equity-owned centers. Eighty-nine percent of respondents always offer this, with the remaining 11 percent sometimes providing the service.
