7 new joint venture ASCs — October/November 2016

Here are seven new joint venture ASCs announced or opened in the past few months.

Winchester, Va.-based Valley Health broke ground on its new $6.2 million on Oct. 28, 2016. The project is a joint partnership between the Valley Health System and 26 local physicians.

Illinois Health Facilities and Services Review Board approved Chicago-based practices Rush University Medical Center and Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush’s plans to build a new building, featuring a surgery center, in Oak Brook.

Surgical Care Affiliates, based in Deerfield, Ill., formed a partnership with Surgical Center of Connecticut in Bridgeport.

Deerfield, Ill.-based Surgical Care Affiliates partnered with Norwich, Conn.-based River Valley Ambulatory Surgery Center.

The Illinois Health Facilities and Services Review Board will decide whether to approve Elgin, Ill.-based Advocate Sherman Hospital’s plans to build an ASC on its campus. The proposed ASC is a joint venture between Advocate Sherman Hospital and Surgical Care Affiliates, based in Deerfield, Ill.

UC San Francisco Health and Walnut Creek, Calif.-based John Muir Health are opening a new outpatient center in Berkeley, Calif.

The physicians of the Gastroenterology Group of Northern New Jersey opened the Northern New Jersey Center for Advanced Endoscopy in Englewood Cliffs. The center is a joint venture between GGNNJ, the Englewood Hospital and Medical Center and Physicians Endoscopy.
