5 Recent Ambulatory Surgery Center Acquisitions & Facility Moves

Here are five recent ambulatory surgery center acquisition agreements and facility moves.

First Choice Surgery Center in Grand Junction, Colo., will close and move to Community Hospital's new Canyon View Surgery Center at Canyon View Medical Plaza.  

NVISION Laser Eye Centers acquired two practices of Nevada Eye Care, NVISION's first acquisitions in the state.

PhotoMedex, a skin health company, intends to acquire LCA-Vision for $106.4 million. LCA-Vision owns and operates 62 LasikPlus surgery centers.

Physicians Realty Trust, a self-managed healthcare properties REIT, acquired Peachtree Dunwoody Medical Center in Atlanta for $36.6 million. The medical center houses several tenants including Peachtree Orthopedics, which has an ambulatory surgery center.

The Illinois Health and Facilities Review Board has approved St. John's Hospital's proposal to acquire Prairie Surgery Center in Springfield, Ill., for $8.5 million.
