Here are five hospitals and health systems that have opened or announced plans for ASCs.

Milwaukee-based Aurora Health Care is building a new $130 million facility, which will house an ASC and an office building in Kenosha, Wis.

The Illinois Health Facilities and Services Review Board gave Elgin, Ill.-based Advocate Sherman Hospital the green light to build its ASC in Elgin.

OrthoSports Athens (Ala.) and Athens-Limestone Hospital started construction on a new facility featuring an ASC and medical office building.

Chicago-based Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital is building a new facility that will provide outpatient services in Northbrook, Ill.

Centralia, Ill.-based St. Mary’s Hospital held a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the opening of its orthopedic surgery center.
