3 new joint-venture ASCs — September 2019

Here are three joint-venture ASCs opened or announced in September:

Edison, N.J.-based Hackensack Meridian Health and Addison, Texas-based United Surgical Partners International entered into a joint venture partnership with Vanguard Surgical Center.

UPMC absorbed York, Pa.-based Leader Surgical Associates’ surgeons and employees Sept. 9. Leader Surgical Associates will relocate its surgery center into the UPMC Outpatient Center at UPMC Memorial in West Manchester Township, Pa.

Work on the joint venture Grass Lake (Mich.) Surgery Center is progressing. The center is being built by a group of local neuro and orthopedic surgeons, who partnered with Jackson, Mich.-based Henry Ford Allegiance Health and Brighton, Mich.-based Advanced Orthopedic Specialists.
