3 new joint venture ASCs — January 2016

Here are three new joint venture ASCs announced or opened in the past month.

The Oak Brook (Ill.) Village Board has approved the construction of an outpatient facility, which is a joint venture between Rush University Medical Center and Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush, both in Chicago.

Raleigh, North Carolina-based Compass Surgical Partners has partnered with 14 physician members of Select Physicians Alliance, a group of Ear Nose & Throat (ENT) surgeons to develop and manage a new ASC in Tampa, Florida.

Robert Zehr, MD, and Kurtis Biggs, DO, partnered with SurgCenter Development to open the Seaside Surgery Center in Naples, Fla.
