In the third quarter of 2016, healthcare sector transactions were down year-over-year, but the value was up 23.8 percent, according to a PwC Deals report.

There were 214 deals in the healthcare sector in the third quarter. Here is the breakdown of the deals:

1. Long term care: 32 percent
2. Physician medical groups: 14 percent
3. Hospitals: 9 percent
4. Labs, MRI and dialysis: 6 percent
5. Home health care: 5 percent
6. Rehabilitation: 4 percent
7. Behavioral care: 3 percent
8. Managed care: 2 percent
9. Other: 25 percent
