Valeritas, a medical technology company in Bridgewater, N.J., named Erick J. Lucera its new CFO, according to NJBIZ.

1. Mr. Lucera will take over as CFO on Aug. 29.
2. He will work out of the company's Shrewsbury, Mass., office.
3. Mr. Lucera will oversee the Valeritas' capital-efficient commercial strategy.
4. He has more than 20 years of experience in biotechnology, specialty pharmaceutical and medical technology companies.
5. Mr. Lucera previously served as CFO of Canada-based Viventia Bio.
