National Patient Safety Foundation adds 5 members to patient safety program: 4 highlights

The National Patient Safety Foundation added five organizations to the “Stand Up for Patient Safety Program.”

Here are four highlights:

1. The membership program offers tools and educational resources to support patient safety initiatives.

2. The five new organizations include:

• Valley View Hospital in Glenwood Springs, Colo.
• SouthEast Alaska Regional Health Consortium
• Bronson Healthcare with locations in Michigan
• Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Nursing in Lubbock
• University of Utah Health Care in Salt Lake City

3. The new organizations joined the already 750 members participating.

4. Tejal K. Gandhi, MD, serves as president and CEO of the foundation.
