Nation faces FluMist shortage — 4 things to know

Many physicians are not sure the best way to proceed in the wake of a FluMist shortage, according to abc 8 news.

Here are four things to know:

1. Physicians lost approximately 15 percent of their inventory because the flu vaccine was too powerful.

2. The FDA did not release the possible side effects of the vaccine.

3. Medical professionals are  unsure whether they should order vaccines or how much they should order.

4. Some experts advise people to get the flu mist early this year in case their physician runs out.
