Minnesota Hospital Association recognizes Fairview Range Medical Center — 5 observations

Minnesota Hospital Association recognized Hibbing-based Fairview Range Medical Center for its patient safety outcomes, according to nncnow.com.

Here are five observations:

1. The hospital is working to lower hospital-acquired conditions by 40 percent.

2. Fairview Range is also striving to reduce readmissions by 20 percent.

3. The Minnesota Hospital Association awards hospitals based on 10 focus areas, such as reducing adverse drug events, injuries from falls and early elective newborn deliveries.

4. Fairview Range is among 22 hospitals the Minnesota Hospital Association recognized.

5. The association recognized the 22 hospitals for demonstrating high performance on six or more HAIs.
