3 things to know about Effingham Surgery Center's outcomes, patient satisfaction

Effingham (Ill.) Ambulatory Surgery Center uses its quality outcomes as a selling point.

Three things to know:

1. The center has advertised its 97 percent patient satisfaction rate on LinkedIn and Twitter.

2. The ASC's infection rate among 3,000 cases performed in 2017 was .09 percent.

3. In 2016, the ASC achieved a .14 percent surgical site infection rate in 7,000 cases.

"Our rates are this low because we show superior attention to the care of each wound and fully explain the at-home instructions upon discharge. Additionally, we ensure our facility is as clean as possible in order to meet industry standards and prevent the spread of diseases," the ASC's website said.
