1. Vice President Biden toured Theranos’ lab and manufacturing facility, where he saw its proprietary systems.
2. Some of the hundreds of Theranos employees met Vice President Biden. The company plans to add thousands more manufacturing jobs in the Untied States.
3. Theranos’ tests are 50 percent or more below the Medicare reimbursement rate.
4. At the summit, Vice President Biden praised Theranos for its innovation and labeled it the “laboratory of the future.”
5. The summit discussed the crucial role early detection and prevention of disease has in healthcare, including reducing costs and fueling economic growth.
