UC San Diego to open Koman Family Outpatient Pavilion — 4 things to know

UC San Diego is set to open the 156,000-square-foot, $140 million Koman Family Outpatient Pavilion March 12.

Here’s what you should know.

1. The pavilion houses eight surgical suites, imaging services, physical therapy services and pain management services.

2. Pavilion physicians will offer oncology, urology, plastic surgery, gastroenterology, sports medicine and spine services.

3. The pavilion also houses the Sanford Stem Cell Clinical Center, where stem cell-related research will be conducted.

4. The clinic was named in honor of Bill and Amy Koman. The Komans have raised millions in support of cancer research.
