Here are five points about the agreement:

1. Mayo Clinic will give Thorne authoritative health information for its clients.

2. Thorne will add Mayo Clinic’s library of patient-centered health and wellness content to its website in August 2015.

3. The content includes information on nutrition, exercise, lifestyle and supplementation.

4. Under the agreement, Mayo Clinic will also develop content about pain management, brain health and the aging process.

5. Thorne will also look for partnerships with organizations that need product, technology and content solutions.

“There is a huge need in the marketplace for reliable, research-based health information, especially as people increasingly turn to the internet and mobile apps for healthcare answers and solutions,” said Paul Jacobson, CEO of Thorne Research.
