U.S. News & World Report released its 2025 Best States rankings on May 6, with Hawaii named the top state for healthcare.
The rankings evaluate all 50 states across 71 metrics in eight categories, including healthcare, education, economy and infrastructure. The healthcare rankings are based on data from the CDC, CMS and other sources, focusing on access, quality and public health outcomes.
