Tenet subsidiary to lay off 65 financial services employees — 3 details

Tenet Healthcare’s business services company plans to terminate 65 workers in Detroit, Crain’s Detroit Business reports.

Three details:

1. Conifer Health Solutions is discontinuing accounts receivable services at its Orchestra Place office building “to align with current business needs,” the company said in an emailed statement to Crain’s.

2. Layoffs will begin Aug. 15. Some retained workers will begin telecommuting. Conifer said it is providing severance and job placement services to affected workers.

3. Dallas-based Tenet has been seeking a buyer for Conifer for more than a year. Tenet also owns Detroit Medical Center.
