Tenet names Howard Hacker SVP, CCO — 5 highlights

Tenet Healthcare appointed Howard Hacker as senior vice president and CCO.

Here are five highlights:

1. Mr. Hacker will assume his new roles starting May 2.

2. As Tenet's CCO, Mr. Hacker will lead the company's ethics and compliance programs, which Tenet's Quality, Compliance and Ethics Program Charter established.

3. He will report directly to the Quality, Compliance and Ethics Committee.

4. Mr. Hacker is succeeding Vanessa Benavides as CCO, who will pursue a position in compliance and privacy operations at Kaiser Permanente.

5. Tenet operates more than 470 U.S. outpatient centers, nine outpatient centers in the United Kingdom as well as 79 general acute-care hospitals and 20 short-stay surgical hospitals.
