Single specialty ASCs jump 17%

The number of single-specialty ASCs jumped 17 percent from 2015 to 2020, according to the most recent Medicare Payment Advisory Commission report.

Here’s four stats on single-specialty ASC growth: 

2015:

Single specialty ASCs: 2,878

61 percent of total ASCs

2020:

Single-specialty ASCs: 3,365 

64 percent of total shares
