In January, the Federal Trade Commission proposed a rule that would keep employees free from noncompete agreements nationwide. The rule would have an impact on physicians, around 37 percent of whom are bound by noncompete contracts. 

Signature Health's Brockton (Mass.) Hospital will reopen for outpatient services and colonoscopies in September, after experiencing an electrical fire and closure on Feb. 7, according to an Aug. 6 report from The Enterprise.

Arnold, Md.-based physician Ron Elfenbein, MD, has been convicted for submitting more than $15 million in fraudulent claims for patients who received COVID-19 tests at his medical centers.
