U.S. News & World Report has named its top medical schools for primary care in 2024, including nine institutions in California. 

Emergency medicine physicians are the most burned out medical specialists, with over half reporting burnout, according to an Aug. 29 American Medical Association report. 

Forbes has named the top 25 colleges in America for 2023, with Princeton (N.J.) University earning the top spot.

A round of layoffs is hitting the healthcare sector in New Jersey, with three companies disclosing reductions to their workforces as part of restructuring efforts, according to an Aug. 28 report from NJBiz.

CMS is floating a 3.34 percent conversion factor decrease in its proposed Medicare physician fee schedule, and some ASC leaders are worried about the effect this decrease will have on the industry.
