Oregon-based ASC celebrates 20 years: 5 details

The Klamath Falls. Ore.-based Klamath Surgery Center is celebrating its 20th anniversary in December, according to the Herald and News.

1. The Klamath Surgery Center is a multispecialty facility.

2. The center performs 1,500 eye and laser surgeries per year, and 200 other specialty surgeries.

3. The Klamath Surgery Center employs 70 people across the surgery center, Klamath Eye Center and Heartfelt Obstetrics and Gynecology, all of which are under the same roof.

4. “I think people appreciate the cost savings of the surgical center to some of the alternatives. Here, we are able to operate very efficiently, resulting in significant savings of both money and time for patients,” Scott Stevens, MD, an ophthalmologist who practices at the center, told the Herald and News.

5. In celebration of its 20th anniversary, the center is hosting an open house Dec. 14.
