Doorstep physicians are bringing back house calls, according to NBC 7 San Diego.

1. Heal, a smartphone app, is allowing patients to schedule on-demand appointments.

2. The app was founded by physician Renee Dua, MD.

3. A physician with an assistant can be scheduled for a visit in less than two hours with a cost of $99.

4. Dr. Dua said the app is accepting a number of PPO insurance plans.

5. The on-demand healthcare trend is expanding across the country, but for now, Dr. Dua provides services to patients from San Francisco to San Diego.
