According to the report, Dr. Wahib gave kickbacks to two co-conspirators, Michelle Kapon, MD, and Joni Canby, MD, after they sent him samples from their patients. Dr. Wahib would then submit claims for the tests.
Dr. Wahib was sentenced to four months in prison and three years of probation and must pay a $55,000 fine, along with $211,092 in restitution with his co-conspirators.
