New service allows Allegheny Health Network to perform 154k+ same-day appointments in 1 year — 4 insights

Pittsburgh-based Allegheny Health Network has performed more than 154,000 same-day procedures since the health system introduced its 412-DOCTORS appointment service, the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review reports.

Here’s what you should know.

1. The health system implemented the program a year ago and has seen tremendous success since then.

2. Of the total appointments, 90,000 were for primary care, while 65,000 were for specialty care.

3. The program has also brought 30,000 new patients to Allegheny Health Network.

4. Patients can go to any Allegheny Health Network facility through the program.
