New Hampshire outpatient clinic offers services for veterans: 5 key notes

The Littleton (N.H.) Community Based Outpatient Clinic opened, providing services for veterans in the area, according to New Hampshire Union Leader.

Here are five things to know:

1. The White River Junction VA Medical Center signed a contract with Sterling Medical to provide more services at the Littleton CBOC.

2. The White River Junction VA Medical Center will provide primary care, laboratory tests, preventive services, electrocardiograms, X-rays, medication, gynecological services, physician therapy, home-based primary care and audiology testing at the new outpatient center.

3. The Littleton CBOC opened to provide a closer option for veterans in the North Country, who were forced to travel lengthy distances for healthcare.

4. There are plans to build CBOCs in Berlin and Colebrook, N.H., as well.

5. Senators Jeanne Shaheen and Kelly Ayotte and U.S. Representative Ann Kuster were all present at the opening ceremony on August 28.
