Nebraska urology center named 1st UroLift center of excellence in state — 4 insights

Fremont, Neb.-based Urology Health Center is the first center in Nebraska to be named a UroLift Center of Excellence, the Fremont Tribune reports.

Here’s what you should know:

1. The center is the 17th in the nation to receive this designation.

2. The center was founded by Ansar Khan, MD. He added the UroLift system to offer patients with enlarged prostates a minimally invasive option.

3. Dr. Khan and his center received the designation because of a high level of training and expertise with the system.

4. Dr. Khan said he values the UroLift system. He said to the Fremont Tribune, “The results are so gratifying. The patients are so happy. That itself is worth it. You see these people after a week and after a month and they’ll tell you this is the best thing they did.”
