Man pleads guilty to stabbing employee inside Missouri ASC

A man has pleaded guilty to a 2021 stabbing that occurred inside of Mercy Surgery Center-Springfield (Mo.), according to a Jan. 25 report from KY3

Charles Turner faced a first-degree domestic assault charge after stabbing a Mercy employee on the morning of Oct. 8, 2021. Mr. Turner is the father of the victim’s child, according to the report. 

The Mercy employee was taken to the emergency room but survived the attack, and Mr. Turner turned himself into police following the incident. He then asked for an attorney. 

A judge has scheduled Mr. Turner’s sentencing for April.
