Dr. Fay is one of three eye corneal transplant experts in Southern Oregon. He offers corneal transplants to help patients avoid traveling to Medford or Portland for the procedure.

“It’s frequent enough in our county that it’s worthwhile to invest time and energy into doing these surgeries here,” Dr. Fay told Herald and News. “Part of the value of offering the surgery locally is the readiness and access to postoperative care, which for transplants is sometimes as important as the surgery itself.”

About 1,500 eye and laser surgeries are performed at Klamath Surgery Center each year. The ASC offers services including cataract surgery, glaucoma treatment and diabetic retinopathy treatment.
