Hillary Clinton’s 7 proposals for healthcare reform

Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton’s healthcare platform involves modifying the Affordable Care Act, according to ModernMedicine Network.

Here are seven proposals:

1. Ms. Clinton wants to enhance enforcement of ACA recruitments. She suggests payers reveal medical services costs as well as claims payment policies.

2. Her platform involves offering a tax credit of up to $5,000 per family to compensate for out-of-pockets costs and premium costs above 5 percent of family income.

3. For emergencies, patients will not be charged out-of-network fees even if they seek care at out-of-network services.

4. Ms. Clinton would further push all states to expand Medicaid.

5. Consumers would receive a public option choice, which would improve enrollment in exchanges and offer coverage despite immigration status.

6. She wants to expand the value-based delivery system in Medicare and Medicaid.

7. Ms. Clinton plans to focus on technology and telehealth solutions to enhance care.
