HCA nets $1.2B in Q2: 4 things to know

Nashville, Tenn.-based HCA Healthcare reported a net income of $1.19 billion in the second quarter of 2023, according to its financial report published July 27.

Here are three more key figures for ASC leaders:

1. HCA’s second quarter income in 2022 was $1.16 billion, $30 million less than this year’s second quarter earnings. 

2. HCA saw 260,478 outpatient surgery cases in the second quarter — a 3.3 percent increase compared to the same period in 2022.

3. Outpatient surgery patient revenues accounted for 39.8 percent of total patient revenue.
