Former corrections nurse found guilty of sexually assaulting 9 inmates

A former nurse at the Oregon Department of Corrections was found guilty of sexually assaulting nine inmates at the Coffee Creek Correctional Facility in Wilsonville (Ore.).

Tony Klein was convicted of 17 counts of depriving his victims of their constitutional right not to be subjected to cruel and unusual punishment by sexual assault and four counts of perjury, according to a July 25 news release from the Justice Department.

Mr. Klein served as a nurse at the women’s prison from 2010 until January 2018. He faces a maximum sentence of life in prison.
