Mr. Stubee joins after serving a similar role with Orlando Health where he led payor negotiations, value-based contracting, and employer engagement.

FOI is a top ranked provider of orthopedic care by U.S. News and World Report and continues to raise the bar in providing high value musculoskeletal services across the healthcare continuum. FOI has pioneered care delivery models that have decreased hospital average length of stay by 50% for patients; recently, the practice announced the opening of a state-of-the-art 23-hour stay Total Joint Center of Excellence, further demonstrating FOI’s continued commitment to efficient patient care, enhanced patient satisfaction, and overall patient outcomes all in a cost-effective manner.

“We are tremendously excited to welcome Michael to the team. His unique experience and skillset in working together with payors and employers will be an excellent addition to the FOI team and position the organization to best serve our patient communities, both in our current footprint and as we continue to grow into the preeminent musculoskeletal practice in the Southeast and beyond,” said Mike Doyle, Chief Executive Officer of FOI.

Mr. Stubee added, “FOI presents a significant value proposition to both patients and payors alike. The unique opportunity to help develop a market leading platform, both in terms of scale and patient outcomes, is something that I could not be more excited to be a part of.”

Headquartered in Tampa, FOI expects to serve over 150,000 patients this year at its 24 locations across central Florida. In addition to its core musculoskeletal services, FOI has developed a fully integrated ancillary service line including surgery centers, physical therapy, imaging, pharmacy, and clinical research. To support its clinical staff of over 300 providers, FOI operates a central business office with more than 750 professionals who provide solutions for service line development, finance and accounting, revenue cycle, IT, human resources, legal, compliance, data analytics, and value-based care and managed care contracting services.

The vision for FOI is to build the country’s preeminent orthopedic practice management company comprising a network of the top orthopedic practices in the nation. This will both further the evolution of orthopedics and help drive the preservation of private practice and physician independence. All FOI partner practices share common values and objectives while benefiting from increased scale and expanded service lines but retain the ability to operate independently from one another on a day-to-day basis.
