Essentia Health reopens Minnesota ASC after nearby roof collapse

The Essentia Health Surgery Center-Miller Hill in Duluth, Minn., reopened March 22 after being closed due to a partial roof collapse at Miller Hill Mall caused by heavy snowfall.

The collapse occurred March 14. It did not directly affect the Essentia Health facilities, but they were temporarily closed out of caution, according to a March 21 news release from the health system. 

Essentia Health’s other locations at Miller Hill Mall have also reopened, including Essentia Health-Miller Hill Pharmacy, Center for Personal Fitness, the Therapy and Performance Center, Polinsky Medical Rehabilitation Center and the Essentia Health-Miller Hill Clinic.
