1. The employee sent 140 emails containing information on approximately 317 patients from her work computer to her personal Gmail account on the day she was fired, according to the report.
2. The emails sent included sensitive information for 198 patients.
3. The surgery center discovered the email transfer shortly after the employee’s termination, according to the report.
4. The employee argued she had authorization to send the emails to her personal account in order to work from home.
5. The employee was found guilty on seven counts of computer fraud after a six-day trial.
