ASC development company Constitution Surgery Alliance has secured an investment from private equity firm Welsh, Carson, Anderson & Stowe.

CSA, which launched in 1998, partners with health systems to develop ASCs and deliver clinical, operational and financial outcomes, according to a June 16 news release.

The company currently manages 16 facilities in five states that perform over 100,000 orthopedic, total joint replacement, spine, ophthalmology, ENT, urology and GI procedures annually.

Welsh, Carson, Anderson & Stowe is a private equity firm that has backed several other major healthcare companies in the outpatient space.

The company was recently ordered to separate itself from the anesthesia firm it created, U.S. Anesthesia Partners.

At the Becker's 23rd Annual Spine, Orthopedic and Pain Management-Driven ASC + The Future of Spine Conference, taking place June 11-13 in Chicago, spine surgeons, orthopedic leaders and ASC executives will come together to explore minimally invasive techniques, ASC growth strategies and innovations shaping the future of outpatient spine care.
