1. The device’s pin connection prematurely releases, Boston Scientific said in a statement.
2. The company attributed the issue to “excess tension in the pin mechanism introduced during the manufacturing process,” according to Boston Scientific’s statement.
3. The pin malfunction is similar to Lotus recalls in 2014 and 2016, Medscape reports.
4. “We expect to bring the Lotus Valve platform back to market in Europe and other regions in the fourth quarter of 2017,” the company said in a release.
