Berkshire Medical Center North adds urology, gynecological services: 5 things to know

Berkshire Health Systems will expand the outpatient surgical procedures peformed at the Northern Berkshire Campus of Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield, Mass., according to iBerkshires.com.

Here are five things to know:

1. Urologic and gynecologic minimally invasive surgery procedures are being scheduled for the new operating rooms.

2. The new procedures will join orthopedic procedures, which began in January.

3. Stephen St. Clair, MD, and Kevin Killeen, MD, will perform the urological procedures.

4. Urological procedures will include scrotal procedures, prostate biopsies, low risk ureteroscopy for stones, low-risk bladder tumor resection and botox injections in the bladder, among others, according to the report.

5. Charles O’Neill, MD, Susan Yates, MD and Kalpesh Patel, MD will perform operations through Berkshire OB/GYN.
