Here’s what you should know:

1. Providers can use the instruments in laparoscopic surgery.

2. The instruments function like 5.0mm instruments. They allow surgeons to take a less invasive approach to surgery.

3. The instruments are available in 26 different jaw patterns, two different lengths and six take-apart handles.

4. Worldwide Vice President and Infection Prevention General Manager for BD’s V. Mueller and Interventional Specialists subdivision Jim Leitl said in a release, “Minimally invasive micro-laparoscopic surgery is a steadily growing field resulting from patient demand for less invasive surgical options and scar reduction.”
