1. Assimilate employees into company culture starting at onboarding. This helps employees feel comfortable at the center and less likely to feel the need to leave.
2. Set clear expectations and goals, especially at the beginning of employment. Productive employees are often driven by goal attainment.
3. Recognize talent. While a raise or good review may seem sufficient to an employer, an expanding role may be more significant to an employee.
4. Keep communication channels open. Keep feedback running both ways!
