4 recent ASC industry leadership moves & honors – May 28, 2015

Here are four ambulatory surgery center industry leaders who have recently taken on new roles or received industry honors.

Rick Brisson is now the administrator of Palmetto Digestive Disease and Endoscopy Center. Previously, Mr. Brisson was the administrator of Charlotte Surgery Center.

Mercy Medical Center in Canton, Ohio, has granted it first Distinguished Nurse Leadership Award to Sue Passmore, RN. Ms. Passmore serves as the medical center’s nursing director of post-anesthesia care and same-day surgery. She also leads pre-admission education and testing.

Ernesto Perez, CRNA, received the 2015 Ernestine Tucker Opening Doors Inclusion and Engagement Award from the Capstone College of Nursing at the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa. Mr. Perez is a CRNA at the Surgery Partners’ center Armenia Surgery Center in Tampa, Fla.

Anita Roper, previously a group vice president with Nueterra, joined Tenet Healthcare as a regional director of ASC operations.
