1. Renegotiated big ticket contracts. We renegotiated our lease that was three-quarters of the way through a 10 year lease. Leases that were entered into several years ago before the financial/housing crisis are no-longer reflective of current market rates. By entering into a new 10 year lease we were able to cut our lease costs 16 percent.

2. Low census days. We rotate among the clinical staff days off due to low census. The staff rotate, taking mandatory days off when low census dictates. The staff is allowed to use available PTO time to supplement their paycheck.

3. Copier service. We changed copier vendors and saved 19 percent on our monthly lease and per copy costs.
