3 things to know about the workplace generational gap

What’s the difference among between being a baby boomer, generation X, or millennial in the workplace? A new survey from PayScale has a few key findings on the differences in employment opportunities based on education, gender and age. Here are three things to know.

1. Millennial pay is more equal between genders than in older generations, though men still make more than women in jobs with more responsibility.

2. While 41 percent of baby boomers say employees should be with an employer 5 years before considering a new job, only 13 percent of millennials agree.

3. Millenials rate career advancement and new skills as more important in their work than do baby boomers or members of generation X.
