11 key ASC specialties: % change in revenue per case since 2010

The average ASC revenue per case has increased over the past seven years, according to data from 2010 and 2017 VMG Health Multi-Specialty ASC Intellimarker surveys.

Urology revenue per case experienced the highest growth — 65 percent — between 2010 and 2017. Ophthalmology had the lowest growth rate at 16.8 percent.

• Percent change: 33.4 percent

Ophthalmology

• 2017: $1,434
• Percent change: 16.8 percent

Oral surgery

• 2010: $1,041
• 2017: $1,217
• Percent change: 16.9 percent

Orthopedics

• 2010: $2,443
• 2017: $3,133
• Percent change: 28.2 percent

Pain management

• 2010: $898
• 2017: $1,074
• Percent change: 19.6 percent

Plastic surgery
