Jason Cagle, Senior Vice President of General Counsel and Acquisitions, United Surgical Partners International
Jason Cagle is the senior vice president of general counsel and acquisitions for USPI, a healthcare facilities management and development company based in Addison, Texas. Mr. Cagle was named CFO of USPI in January. Before joining USPI, he was an attorney in the corporate and securities section at Vinson & Elkins in Dallas.

Jimbo Cross, Vice President of Acquisitions and Development, Ambulatory Surgery Centers of America
Jimbo Cross is the vice president of acquisitions and development at ASCOA. Mr. Cross is responsible for the nationwide acquisition and business development of surgical facilities and ASCs. He also is in charge of creating strategy to optimize ASC performance.

Kenneth Faw, MD, Executive Medical Director, Evergreen Surgical Center
Kenneth Faw, MD, is the executive medical director of Evergreen Surgical Center in Kirkland, Wash., which offers general surgery, plastic surgery, pediatric surgery, ENT, pain management, gynecology, ophthalmology, urology, podiatry and orthopedic services. Dr. Faw is board certified in otolaryngology.

Doug Golwas, Senior Vice President of ASCs, Medline Industries
Doug Golwas is senior vice president of ASCs for Medline Industries and responsible for the strategic direction, growth and sales leadership of the business unit. This division of Medline is solely dedicated to ASCs and surgical hospitals and focuses on the creation and promotion of supply chain, cost management and profit improvement solutions for its partners.  

Carol Hiatt, Owner, Surgery Center Consulting Services
Carol Hiatt, BSN, RN, LHRM, CASC, CNOR, is the owner of Surgery Center Consulting Services in Ocala, Fla., which aids surgery centers in expanding, gaining accreditation and certifications and rewriting policies and procedures. Ms. Hiatt has over 25 years of experience in the healthcare industry. Ms. Hiatt has also worked as a consultant and accreditation surveyor for Healthcare Consultants International.

Sev Hrywnak, MD, CEO, VIP Surgery Chicago

Sev Hrywnak, MD, a board-certified physician, is currently the CEO of VIP Surgery Chicago, the SEV Group in Chicago and Park Immediate Health Care Centers. VIP Surgery Chicago is a surgical service provider and the Sev Group is a business investment company. Park Immediate Health Care Centers are based in Elmwood Park, Ill. He also currently serves as the chairman of the board for the Premier Basketball League.

Thomas Jacobs, CEO, MedHQ

Thomas H. Jacobs is the CEO and co-founder of MedHQ, a company that provides expert knowledge in accounting, revenue cycle, human resources and credentialing for the healthcare industry. Mr. Jacobs is also administrator of EndoLabs, an endoscopy surgery center based in Indiana, and has previously served as a healthcare administrator for the Center for Digestive Health, a freestanding ASC.

Stephen Kovach, Director of Education, Healthmark Industries
Stephen M. Kovach is the director of education at Healthmark Industries, a Fraser, Mich.-based company that provides the healthcare industry with products designed to sterilize, store and deliver surgical instruments. Mr. Kovach has over 37 years of experience in the healthcare industry, beginning as a sterilization orderly.

Vishal Lal, CEO, Advanced Pain Management
Vishal Lal is the CEO of Advanced Pain Management, a Chicago-based company that focuses on providing the healthcare industry with minimally invasive treatments for several pain disorders. Prior to joining Advanced Pain Management, Mr. Lal served as the business manager of Pain Diagnostics Associates.

Matt Lau, Corporate Controller, Regent Surgical Health
Matt Lau, CPA, is the corporate controller for Regent Surgical Health, an ASC development and management company based in Westchester, Ill. Todd Logan, Regional Vice President of Sales, SourceMedical

Todd Logan is the regional vice president of sales at SourceMedical, a Birmingham, Ala.-based company providing software solutions for ASCs, therapy centers and specialty hospitals. Prior to joining SourceMedical, Mr. Logan was the regional sales manager at GE Healthcare, based in Waukesha, Wis.

Patrick McCarthy is the chief network development officer at Access MediQuip, a company headquartered in Lake Mary, Fla., that offers the healthcare industry integrated, comprehensive surgical and implant management solutions. Mr. McCarthy is responsible for the growth of the company's payor-sponsored business for hospitals and surgery centers nationwide.
