Verizon acquired cloud services from Terremark and security services from Cybertrust, from which it’s building its software service. Its data centers meet HIPAA security controls and other security requirements.
With this new venture, Verizon hopes to turn the trend of the healthcare industry being wary of using third-party technology for fear of data breaches with secure patient diagnosis, billing and coding information.
