Verizon Develops a HIPAA-Compliant Healthcare Cloud Service

Verizon’s Enterprise Solutions group has created a cloud service portfolio that will meet HIPAA requirements for safeguarding electronic health information, according to HealthcareIT.

With this new venture, Verizon hopes to turn the trend of the healthcare industry being wary of using third-party technology for fear of data breaches with secure patient diagnosis, billing and coding information.
